Mary is a wonderful source of information on the Hartness family and author of "James Hartness and Lena Pond Hartness", a family autobiography, 1986, and "The Curves in the Road"."The Curves in the Road", by Mary Beardsley Fenn, 2002 was originally written for her grandchildren. This book chronicles the life of Springfield-native Mary Beardsley Fenn from 1917 to the present. Recollections of an active family life in Connecticut and Vermont, coal-burning furnaces, ice deliveries, and hiking the entire Long Trail.
